چکیده

In this paper, we describe a method of optimum temperature modulation of metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) based gas sensor, operated in dynamic temperature measurement for identification of gas. The volatile organic compound (VOC) sample space consists of fourteen laboratory chemicals sampled at various concentration. We have used eleven number of gas sensors, manufactured by Figaro sensors, Japan. The heater of the sensors were modulated with sawtooth heating waveform of different frequency. Features were obtained from the response waveforms using wavelet transformation. The best frequency of heating waveform were determined using classification accuracy obtained using support vector machine. Improving Gas Sensing Properties of Tin Oxide Nanowires Palladium-Coated Using a Low Cost Technique

Thin films of SnO2 nanowires were successfully prepared by using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process on quartz substrates. Afterwards, a thin  layer of palladium (Pd) as a catalyst was coated on top of nanowires. For the deposition of Pd, a simple and low cost technique of spray pyrolysis was employed, which caused an intensive enhancement on the sensing response of fabricated sensors...

Thickness Dependence of Sensitivity in Thin Film Tin Oxide Gas Sensors Deposited by Vapor Pyrolysis

Transparent SnO2 thin films were deposited on porcelain substrates using a chemical vapor deposition technique based on the hydrolysis of SnCl4 at elevated temperatures. A reduced pressure self-contained evaporation chamber was designed for the process where the pyrolysis of SnCl4 at the presence of water vapor was carried out. Resistive gas sensors were fabricated by providing ohmic contacts o...

Tin oxide nanowire sensor with integrated temperature and gate control for multi-gas recognition.

The selectivity of a chemiresistive gas sensor comprising an array of single-crystalline tin oxide nanowires (NWs) is shown to be greatly enhanced by combined temperature and gate voltage modulation. This dual modulation was effected by a novel microsensor platform that consisted of a suspended nitride membrane embedded with independently addressable platinum heater and back-gate structures. Decomposition, Oxidation, and Hydrolysis Kinetics of Monobutyltintrichloride

Due to its electrical, optical, and mechanical properties, tin oxide coatings can be found in a wide range of applications. Fluorine doped tin oxides are transparent for visible light, highly reflective for infrared radiation, and may have a sheet resistance down to 3 Ω/square. These thin films are used in architectural windows for reflecting heat [1], in solar cells for carrying the cell’s cur...

Stress Considerations in Thin Films for CMOS-Integrated Gas Sensors

The integration of gas sensing elements into hand-held electronics will provide individuals the ability to detect harmful chemicals and pollutants in the environment in real time. Metal oxide gas sensors rely on changes in their electrical conductance due to the interaction of the oxide with a surrounding gas at an elevated temperature. The intrinsic stress in the metal oxide films during the l...
